Looking for something a little more adventurous? Then try your hand at canoeing, kayaking, rafting, paragliding or climbing.   And in winter there are over 120 miles of downhill runs and 480 miles of cross-country trails for you to conquer on skis. Theres something for everyone!

Discover any one of the 500 Romanesque churches; Saint-Nectaire, Orcival, Chatel-Montagne, Brioude and Mauriac are the best examples of the famous Auvergne school of Romanesque art.  Hidden in the heart of the countryside medieval villages and fortified chateaux stand as guardians who have many secrets to share with you about their tumultuous past.  Come and  discover some of Auvergne's ambassadors!
