La Poumerole motorcycle rideouts La Poumerole is open all year round so why not combine your biking holiday or weekend with our rideout days and make the most of your stay.
We, Nigel and Sarah previously working at Astle BMW Motorcycles in Lincolnshire (www.astlebmwbikes.co.uk) and thoroughly enjoyed arranging the GS Rideouts with two of Yorkshire's finest tour guides you could ever wish to ask for.
We also organised off-road weekends for customers at Simon Pavey's Off-Road Skills school in South Wales (where Ewan Mcgregor and Charlie Boorman trained for their Long Way Round and Long Way Down expeditions!), before we decided we wanted to live the French dream along with the bikes.

On the rideouts the drop off system is used; Nige will lead and there will be a tail-ender (which will be one of you taking in turns to change at each leg en route, whether it be a petrol stop or a coffee stop) wearing hi-viz tabard. . At each turn off Nige will signal to the rider behind to wait at a safe place so the riders behind him can see where to turn off and once he see's the tail-rider in the hi-viz vest he can set off again. He can stay in his position or if he wishes to do so he can safely manoeuvre nearer to the front of the pack again. It is a tried and tested system and works very well so you can ride at whatever pace you wish and not get left by the group!
. After a fantastic day's riding you can end with an evening meal at a local restaurant (inside or al fresco) to chat about your outing and about the next one to come! Or you can retire to La Poumerole for a refreshing beer or two.
