We are renovating three old farm cottages in this beautiful undiscovered region of France...

 La Poumerole has two self-catering holiday gites in an adult, chilled out, stress free zone!

Our holiday gites are three old farm cottages which are being renovated in the undiscovered, green heart of France.  The stunning beauty of the Auvergne region attracts all who enjoy fresh air and the great outdoors with the fantastic landscape on our doorstep and the regions many lakes.

The Auvergne Volcanic region encompasses much of the Massif Central and this marvellous Volcanic National Park, is almost entirely unspoiled. 

It has many gorges, geesers, rivers, lakes and thick forest and is adorned with its many Chateaux and the Thermal Spas and 'Volvic' the home of the legendary Volcanic Spring Water is well worth a visit!

The many Lakes and Rivers warmly invite you to enjoy watersports such as waterskiing, kayaking, canoeing, windsurfing, sailing or even the peaceful art of fishing!

Whether you are looking to chill out, explore the stunning countryside, use our bicycles (no hire charge!) sample the watersports, wintersports, mountain climbing, hot air ballooning or horse riding , join us on one of our motorcycle rideouts for the day - we at La Poumerole, can help you make your holiday what you want it to be!!

Lake Chancelade - a peaceful 5 minute drive away

Here everyone is laid back, down to earth and we are all into our bikes (of both two-wheeled variety), 4 x 4 off-roading, leisure sports and living the true french tradition!!

La Poumerole offers you the quiet serenity of the French countryside in the low season and in the high season you can make it what you choose. Enjoy the privacy of our comfortable, self-contained gites, you can get together with your neighbours for a communal barbeque, chat into the night, or simply make the most of your own company! 

You can book neighbouring gites with your friends, have your own space without having to share too closely with their habits!
